Spirituality Council

Our spirtuality Council was set up in January 2017 on the request of the School Council.

We meet regularly to discuss school-wide developments regarding spirituality across the school.

At each collective worship we make anassessment of the worship and feed this information back to the leader of the collective worship.

Things we have achieved

1. Designed a new school prayer using ideas from every class. This new school prayer will be printed onto 'pocket cards' for every child to carry with them - Archdeacon Alan Jeans has kindly offered to fund this through the Salisbury Diocese.

2. Continually leading on Class Collective Worship to help all children to recognise that spirituality can be discovered and practised in any location.

3. Supporting the Parish members to run a termly 'after school prayer club'.

4. Leading on the use of images on our projector for use during for prayer in our collective worship.

5. Introduced Trinity candle at collective worship.

6. Installed 'he calls you by name' in every classroom for registration time.

7. Updated prayers of Grace for snack time and lunchtime.

8. Organised Spirituality Garden on the school field, and Spirituality Gardens in the classrooms.

9. Organised the new vision statement to be installed in all classrooms.

10. Worked with the staff, governors and parents to redesign our Visiona and Values - we call these our St John's Ways.
