Welcome to St John's Church of England Primary School.

St John's School is a happy, hardworking and successful school community.  Our aim is to create a positive and happy learning environment, with a strong Christian ethos and the highest expectations of behaviour and attainment.

We offer a 'village school' atmosphere, with all the benefits of the town's facilities.  With about 109 pupils on roll, and four classes, all of our pupils benefit from individual attention. We work in partnership with you, the child's family, to ensure that every child thrives.

We aim to give all our children a great start to their school days, challenging them to reach their full potential not only in the core subjects and the national curriculum but in their sport, creativity, learning powers, sense of spirituality, leadership, community responsibility and friedships.

It is a real privilege to be the Headteacher of St John's School. I am always proud to show guests around our wonderful school. Please contact the office if you would like to come and see us.

Vision Statement

Through our Christian faith and values, we will work together as pupils, staff, parents, carers, governors and the wider community to engage in learning of the highest quality and instil integrity that will take the children through to adulthood.

By investing in all members of our community and providing a challenging, nurturing and inspirational environment we aspire to develop a culture of resilience and       life-long learning where everyone succeeds.

Respecting the ideas of all, we learn from each other and strive to be the best that we can be.

In a safe and happy school we will encourage children to value others and sow the seeds for them to become good citizens of tomorrow.
